2024 Mighty 11 Trials – CB

BMX New Zealand M11 Trials
Mighty 11 Boys – 4 riders Mighty 11 Girls – 4 riders
This trial event will be to select Teams to represent NZ in the Mighty 11’s Cultural Exchange and the Australia vs. New Zealand – Mighty 11’s Test. The selection is open to all riders who will be 11 years old (actual age) on 31 December 2024.
Remember to enter your chosen classes for the North Island Titles before entries close. If you are successful in making the M11 team, then you will be refunded in full your NIT entry fees.

EVENT DETAILS:
RACE FORMAT – MIGHTY 11’s:
Gender Split: Separate Male & Female trial will be held
All Riders: 4 qualifying motos. Each rider’s 3 lowest moto points will be added, then;
- 8 or less riders: Points added to 5th (final) moto to determine top 4 placings.
- 9-16 riders: Top 8 riders to 1 final, points added to ‘3 best moto’ points.
- 17+ riders: Top 16 riders race semi-finals, points added to ‘3 best moto’ points
- Top 8 riders to final, points added to previous points.
- Count back system to determine semi-final and final positions. Semi-finals placing, last ‘counted’ moto placing, if necessary.
- Finish position in Final will determine team selection if points tied.
Riders select lanes for Semi-finals and Finals based in qualifying position order

Points: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8
BMXNZ Moto Mixing.
Transponders: All riders must run transponders for this event
Registration: Sunday same as event registration
Practice: At start of Sunday Practice TBA after close of entries
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
- Selected riders must compete in the Mighty 11 Memorial Class at 2024 North Island Titles, but will not compete in Age Group class at 2024 BMXNZ North Island Titles as required by the BMXNZ Mighty11 Team Management.
- Selected riders and parent/guardians will be required to sign and comply with the BMX NZ Test Teams Contract. Contracts are to be signed on the day of selection. Copies of the M11 Test Team Contract are available upon request from the BMXNZ Administrator at admin@bmxnewzealand.co.nz
- Riders must attend all arranged team training sessions as arranged by BMXNZ Team Management.
- Riders selected will be required to pay to BMXNZ – New Zealand dollars $250.00 to assist with the costs.
- All riders and parents/guardians must abide by both the rules and regulations and the codes of conduct as set by BMXNZ for the sport.
- Any rider wanting to be eligible for selection for a BMX New Zealand Test Team must be permanently resident in New Zealand, for the all of the relevant BMX New Zealand racing season (as published in the annual racing calendar) and up to the date or dates of the events for which the rider wishes to be considered for selection).“Permanently Resident” means actually living in New Zealand, and intending to live here indefinitely.
M11s ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS:
BMXNZ have issued the link below to the INDIVIDUAL ONLINE ENTRY site. All riders wishing to enter the event must be ENTERED BY THEIR PARENT/ GUARDIAN. Supply all detail as requested, check entry detail & confirm entry
Payment will follow the entry process. Either via credit card on the site provided or direct transfer to the detail supplied online.
Entry Fee: $35.00
Method of payment: Via Online entry system ONLY.
Trial Tee size selection: Kids 10, 12, 14 Adult S, M, L
Trial Event Entries Close: 8 September 2024 – ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY
Reimbursements: No refunds will be given after Sunday 29th September 2024, for any reason. Refunds prior to this will only be given on receipt of medical certificate, less an administration fee of $20 per entry.
Late Entries: NO late entries will be accepted
