DESCRIPTION:Mighty 11s Boys and Girls - Australian Leg Junior Test Team Selection \n\n2026 Mighty 11 Trials – Te Awamutu\n\nMarch 20\, 2026 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm\n\nBMX New Zealand M11 Trials\n\nMighty 11 Boys – 4 riders Mighty 11 Girls – 4 riders\n\nThis trial event will be to select Teams to represent NZ in the Mighty 11’s Cultural Exchange and the Australia vs. New Zealand – Mighty 11’s Test. The selection is open to all riders who will be 11 years old (actual age) on 30 June 2026.\n\nEnter your t-shirt size in the comments when you enter; Youth S – M – L – XL or Adult S – M – L\n\nWhere: Te Awamutu BMX Club\, Castleton Park\, Park Rd\, Te Awamutu\n\nWhen: Friday March 2o 2026\n\nCheck-In: 9am – 10am\n\nPractice: as per Nationals Flyer\n\nRacing: Block racing every 30 mins throughout Friday practice sessions. First round start TBA after close of entries\n\nEntries: https://www.bmxevents.nz/enter-online\n\nEntries Close:  1 March 2026  – No Late Entries Accepted\n\nEVENT DETAILS:\n\nRACE FORMAT – MIGHTY 11’s:\n\nGender Split: Separate Male & Female trial will be held\n\nAll Riders: 4 qualifying motos. Each rider’s 3 lowest moto points will be added\, then;\n\n8 or less riders: Points added to 5th (final) moto to determine top 4 placings.\n\n9-16 riders: Top 8 riders to 1 final\, points added to ‘3 best moto’ points.\n\n17+ riders: Top 16 riders race semi-finals\, points added to ‘3 best moto’ points\n\nTop 8 riders to final\, points added to previous points.\n\nCount back system to determine semi-final and final positions. Semi-finals placing\, last ‘counted’ moto placing\, if necessary.\n\nFinish position in Final will determine team selection if points tied.\n\nRiders select lanes for Semi-finals and Finals based in qualifying position order\n\nGate: 8 Lane Gate\n\nPoints: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8\n\nBMXNZ Moto Mixing.\n\nTransponders: All riders must run transponders for this event\n\nTERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:\n\n \tSelected riders must also compete in the 2026 BMXNZ National Championships\, as required by BMXNZ Mighty 11 Team Management. Entry to the BMXNZ National Championships is a separate process and must be completed before entries close\, as outlined in that event’s details.\n \tSelected riders and parent/guardians will be required to sign and comply with the BMX NZ Test Teams Contract. Contracts are to be signed on the day of selection. Copies of the M11 Test Team Contract are available upon request from the BMXNZ Administrator at admin@bmxnewzealand.co.nz\n \tRiders must attend all arranged team training sessions as arranged by BMXNZ Team Management.\n \tRiders selected will be required to pay to BMXNZ - New Zealand dollars $750.00 to assist with the costs.\n \tAll riders and parents/guardians must abide by both the rules and regulations and the codes of conduct as set by BMXNZ for the sport.\n \tAny rider wanting to be eligible for selection for a BMX New Zealand Test Team must be Permanently Resident in New Zealand\, for the all of the relevant BMX New Zealand racing season (as published in the annual racing calendar) and up to the date or dates of the events for which the rider wishes to be considered for selection).  “Permanently Resident” means actually living in New Zealand\, and intending to live here indefinitely.\n\nM11s ONLINE ENTRY PROCESS:\n\nBMXNZ have issued the link below to the INDIVIDUAL ONLINE ENTRY site. All riders wishing to enter the event must be ENTERED BY THEIR PARENT/ GUARDIAN. Supply all detail as requested\, check entry detail & confirm entry\n\nPayment will follow the entry process. Either via credit card on the site provided or direct transfer to the detail supplied online.\n\nEntry Fee: $35.00\n\nMethod of payment: Via Online entry system ONLY.\n\nTrial Tee size selection: Kids 10\, 12\, 14 Adult S\, M\, L\n\nTrial Event Entries Close: 1 March 2026 – ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY\n\nReimbursements: No refunds will be given after Friday 20th March 2025\, for any reason.
